The Council owns, in trust, two blocks of Almshouses on Otley Road in Skipton - comprising 12 units designed for occupancy by local people aged over 55.
Heap Parkinson Homes operates as a charity and is managed separately from the Council - 15 of the Councillors are trustees, and there are also 2 additional co-opted trustees.
A comprehensive refurbishment of the properties was completed in 2022.
The Heap Parkinson Homes does operate a waiting list for anyone interested in vacancies.
