Sustainability Goals
Skipton Town Council has adopted four sustainability goals, each Council Committee has these goals in their Terms of Reference so that the goals are actively promoted and adhered to by each Committee.
The Goals are:
• Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
• Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
• Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
• Protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
Pollinator Action Plan
The Council have adopted a Pollinator Action Plan. Skipton Town Council is committed to helping to conserve the UK's pollinators by ensuring the Council wll consider the needs of pollinators in the delivery of its work.
